I am in San Diego at my son's home. I am enjoying my grandson's so much. Keven turned 3 yesterday and is so much fun. Typically, he does not stop, he is always in motion. He had his party yesterday and it was hard getting him out of the pool to blow out the candles which he did without any prompting at all. He has been to many, many birthday parties and knows the drill. Justin who is just 1 month old loves for me to hold him! He is a very good baby who eats and sleeps - I have barely heard his voice.
All my wonderful pictures are locked up on my camera so I will have to wait until next weekend at home to upload some of them.
I have visits planned with friends this week and am so looking forward to seeing them! Now it is time to go play!

Bathroom Remodel Part 2

Update on the bathroom. Tiles are going on. Have selected the border and purchased a faucet for the sink. Still have to find shower faucet and shower head, sink and toilet. Oh, and then some towel bars. It gets pretty extensive - more than you really think when you first start. And I just remembered that it would be nice to have glass around that shower!

Foggy Hollow Coffee and Linking
I just learned a new thing about blogging. I can do a link! Wow, exciting. I love learning new things on the computer.
Ok, here is goes. I told you how wonderful Foggy Hollow Coffee is and now you can just click right here where it says Foggy Hollow Coffee and be directed to the website! Then you can order yourself a pound or two of the best coffee there is. Dave will roast it just for you when you order it so it is really, really fresh. And if you enjoy a good cup of coffee like I do - well, what are you waiting for?

The Man Cave
Many of you have read about the Man Cave on my blog. The Man Cave is in Phil's garage - just across the street from us. If the garage door is open - so is The Cave. There are 4 large TV's, a refrigerator, a few camp chairs and a couple comfie chairs. When it is cold there is a fire ring and the fires can get pretty darn big and hot! And actually, though it is called The Man Cave, women are welcome at any time - I think because they often come bearing food. So there is a table to put the food on. But one major thing was missing. A Bar!
But no longer! Yesterday the work began. Member Mark is a skilled carpenter so he took the lead and brought all the tools. Leader Phil went to Lowes and got all the supplies. Members Kirby, Ray and Robert brought advise and they all began. By last night the bar was up and first coats of paint and varnish were on.
Here are some pictures from yesterday. I will post more later.

Bathroom Remodel Part 1
Our bath and bedroom are about the last of the home remodel. (Then I can get carpet! Yea!) We have selected the tile for the shower and Kirby has installed the backerboard. We talked about a major redo - getting rid of the stupid tub, enlarging the shower etc, but it just didn't seem worth all the work. That really would have been major! This will be enough. We got a polished travertine and it will go in the shower, around the tub where there was synthetic marble and on the sink countertop also. I will update Kirby's progress as we go along. So - we are a one bathroom family for a while.

Sock's Winter Vacation
While the Shumbies went on a ski trip to Vermont, Socks came to stay with us. Socks is our granddog and the one who picked Jake to be our dog. Socks LOVES Jake big time. By the time she left Jake was exhausted from all of her love and said that he would rather just date than have her live with him! You will see from this video why he was so tired. This went on all the time until the last day when Jake rebelled and wouldn't romp with Socks any more. He was pooped!

Foggy Hollow Coffee
How would you like to wake up in the morning with the very best coffee ever? That is what I did today - and I will do tomorrow! I am drinking Foggy Hollow fresh roasted coffee. I order the coffee online and THEN it is roasted - just for me and then shipped off to me while it is almost still hot. This honestly is the best coffee I have ever had.I use a Melita drip filter because I only have one cup a day. So I ground just enough for my one cup and brewed it up to an exquisite cup! I was amazed at the rich flavor of the Sumatra - my favorite.
Foggy Hollow Coffees are roasted fresh when you order them. OK, you know there has to be a catch right? Well, the only catch is that the company belongs to my sister, Patti, and her husband, Dave. They roast the coffee in their little roasting room, package it themselves and send it off.

Here are a couple of pictures. First you see Patti at the roaster. Behind her are the bins of raw coffee beans. The other picture is Patti and her daughter, Tanya, at the Farmer's Market in Jasper, GA where they sell their coffee each week during the season.
So - if you want some really good coffee, just follow the link below on the right or follow this address - http://www.foggyhollowcoffee.com/coffee.html. I think you will find the price better than you are used to and I KNOW the coffee is better than you are used to! Enjoy a cup soon!
